Oh, Netherlands. How I miss you.

One day, before I became a family photographer in the Spring TX area, we decided to leave our little life in The U.S.ofA. and head out on an overseas adventure to the Netherlands.

{This little story will include both DSLR pictures and Instagram snaps.}

On the way we stopped off in Iceland.  The Blue Lagoon is super cool. {All the square photos are Instagram photos. You can click on them to see my whole Instagram feed.}

Our time in Assen, The Netherlands was lovely.  If you have a chance to visit, DO IT!  Don't just do Amsterdam. The country side is unbelievable. We lived in a little town about 2 hours from Amsterdam. While it required that I do some adapting {I became a wiz donut and Mexican food chef, and had to get comfortable on a bike.}, it was such a lovely place to live. I was unable to really pick a very satisfying array of pictures to represent our two years.  Here's a sampling. {Check out my Instagram feed for a more comprehensive look.}

I started a little project called "Doors of Assen". Click on image to see them all.

I got to take some glorious personal photos with my big-girl camera (Canon 7D):

Seriously, I can't say enough about our time there.  My only regret was that I wasn't able to do much "work" as a photographer.  I did a few shoots, though.  I'll be featuring those in the next few blog posts.
